Sailboat rental in Tenerife from €2,000 per week

The renting sailboats in Tenerife with ECC Yacht starts at €2,000/week for an Oceanis 43 with four cabins. Sailboats from 44 to 47 feet range between €3,100 and €4,100, and the high range—Oceanis 51.1 and Jeanneau Yacht 54—between €4,300 and €5,500 per week.

To that we must add the final cleaning (€190–€240 depending on cabins) and the gas bottle (€25), which They are mandatory, plus the skipper if you hire him: €1,500/week plus meals on board.

You need a valid nautical qualification—PER or international equivalent—and demonstrable experience on boats of similar length. Our sailboats are cruise boats of 38 to 55 feet, not light vessels, and in the Canary Islands there are acceleration channels that require judgment.

If you do not have a qualification, any of the 12 sailboats are hired with a professional skipper and you do not need a license of any kind. It is the option that we recommend for a first week in the archipelago.

It depends on the length. The 38 and 41 foot sailboats carry 6 people in 3 cabins; those from 41 to 45 feet, 8 people in 3 or 4 cabins; and those from 47 to 55 feet have 10 or 11 seats in 5 cabins with 3 bathrooms.

Our practical recommendation: for a whole week, calculate one cabin for every two people and do not rush the maximum capacity. An Oceanis 43 approved for 10 is comfortable with 8.

Yes, but not all year round is equally pleasant. The northeast trade blows steadily for much of the year, and in July and August it does so quite strongly, especially in the acceleration zones between the islands.

Our Canarian season runs from November to April precisely because it is when the wind eases, the sea is more manageable and the temperature remains between 20 and 23 °C. From May to October the fleet sails in Mallorca.

The sailboat sails better upwind, costs considerably less to rent and moor, and is what those who want to really sail are looking for. Heel, which is part of the experience for some and an inconvenience for others.

The catamaran does not heel, it has much more living space, four bathrooms and a shallower draft that allows it to get closer to the coast. It is the logical choice if small children or someone prone to seasickness are traveling.

From Marina del Sur, in Las Galletas (Arona), which is our main base on the island and is a quarter of an hour from the Tenerife Sur airport, or from Marina Santa Cruz de Tenerife, in the Los Llanos Commercial Dock.

The specific base depends on the boat and the route you have planned: if you are going to cross to Gran Canaria, Santa Cruz is better; for everything else, the south.

Our main format is the weekly charter from Saturday to Saturday, with check-in from 16:00 and check-out the following Saturday at 09:00. It is where the best price per day is achieved and where the fleet is designed to perform.

Outside of that format we offer shorter departures according to availability: consultation rental for one day or per hour.

Yes. San Sebastián de La Gomera is about 22–25 nautical miles from Las Galletas, a half-day crossing. With a full week you can also link La Palma and El Hierro, or cross the fifty-five miles to Gran Canaria.

We only ask that the route be discussed in the briefing: the inter-island channels are known acceleration zones and it is advisable to plan the departure time with the report in hand.

Includes full use of the boat for seven nights, regulatory safety equipment, tableware and kitchenware, bedding and the departure technical briefing with one of our sailors.

Does not include fuel, moorings in the ports you visit, final cleaning or gas bottle. The pattern is optional. The deposit (€2,500–€3,000 depending on the boat) is given at check-in and is returned in full at closing if the boat returns in good condition.
