A boat party in Mallorca It is basically a private beach club for your group — but with the cove as decoration, without club prices, and with the freedom to play your music and bring your drink. For festive groups (marked birthdays, farewells, gatherings of friends, business events with an informal profile), it wins quite clearly over the ground alternatives. More privacy, more memory, better value for money when done right.
The approach is flexible. For daytime party (10:00-18:00 or 11:00-19:00), catamaran or large sailboat with a large deck and on-board music system. Music at a reasonable volume (there are regulations but it is more than enough for a festive atmosphere), a drink that you bring (without extra cost and without restriction), swimming stop in a cove with jumps into the water, return to the port at sunset. For DJ on board, we coordinate it as a separate service. We work with local DJs with a setup adapted to the boat (table, controller, compatible speakers). Variable cost depending on hours and level of the DJ — ask us for a fixed quote. For groups of 12+ that need more capacity, we consider two boats in a flotilla sailing together. What we get asked most about boat parties
How many people can fit?
Medium sailboats (Akilina, Tomeu, Majadero, Katalina): 8-10 comfortable people for a party. Large sailboats (Joulukka, Le Grand, Tefiti, Tasmanian Devil, Little Mia): 10-12 pax. Catamarans (Ky Dong 9 pax, Machango 8 pax): excellent space for a festive group. For groups of 14+, we consider two boats in a flotilla — the most spectacular option for a large group.
Can we hire a DJ on board?
Yes, we coordinate it. We work with local DJs with a specific setup for the boat (compact controller table, powered speakers compatible with the boat's network). Variable cost depending on hours, level of the DJ, and if you bring your own sound or use the boat's sound — ask us for a closed quote giving date and hours. For a large group, clearly recommended; For a small group, your playlist is usually enough.
Can we bring our own drinks and food?
Yes, totally — no extra cost and no restriction. Boat has a large refrigerator with ice (perfectly fits drinks and snacks for 8-12 people all day). Recommended: canned beer (not fragile glass), wine and mixers, water, snacks (ham, cheese, fruit, snacks). Large garbage bag to throw everything in when you return.
How loud can the music be played?
Reasonable volume for a festive atmosphere, yes. No "disco" volume — there are maritime noise regulations, especially anchored near other boats in cove. The boss regulates the limit. For a more intense party with powerful sound, better a large boat or catamaran with a powerful system, or hire a DJ who knows how to balance. Realistic: party atmosphere yes, no rave.
How much does it cost per person?
Half day sailing (8 pax): ~110€/p. Catamaran half day (9 pax): ~170€/p. Catamaran full day (10 pax): ~220€/p. If you add DJ (~€250-500) and drinks brought by you (~€20/p), the total party costs between €150-280/p. Comparable or cheaper than a VIP nightclub ticket + drinks — and the experience is clearly better.
Are there rules to respect?
The normal ones for any boat: respect for the equipment (do not break, do not stain furniture, do not smoke below deck), respect for the skipper, caution with alcohol near the gunwale and especially when jumping into the water, common sense. The employer may ask to reduce reckless behavior (dangerous jumps, people hanging from the balcony) for safety. For the rest, your party is your party.
Is it suitable for specific celebrations (birthdays, farewells)?
Yes, perfect. For bachelor and bachelorette parties we have a specific page with details: farewells on boat.
