He boat rental without skipper in Mallorca, also called bareboat, is the classic charter modality for qualified sailors. You take the boat under your responsibility and run it yourself for the entire week — no skipper on board, no crew, no one telling you when to set sail or where to anchor. It is the pure freedom of charter.
At ECC Yacht we offer 16 boats in bareboat in Mallorca: the 15 sailboats and the catamaran Ky Dong (Lagoon 43). The Machango catamaran (Lagoon 46) is the only one that No bareboat is rented — it always has a separate mandatory professional skipper (not included in the price of the boat). You can hire all the others in bareboat or, if you prefer, also with an optional skipper.

You choose boat and dates. You send us a copy of your nautical qualification (or international equivalent) and a brief nautical CV. 50% payment to block.

Check-in Saturday 16:00
In La Lonja Marina. Complete technical briefing, inventory signing, deposit and delivery of the boat. From here, it's yours.

A week sailing
Mallorca, Cabrera, Ibiza, Formentera or Menorca — you choose. 24/7 technical support if you need it.

Check-out Saturday 09:00
You return the boat to La Lonja, a quick inspection and a full refund of the deposit if everything is in order.

What we get asked most about bareboat rentals
What qualification do I need to rent a boat without a skipper in Mallorca?
You valid nautical qualification (PER, Yacht Skipper, Yacht Captain or international equivalent such as RYA Day Skipper, ICC...). For boats over 15 m you need a Yacht Skipper or Yacht Captain.
We will ask you for a copy of the title, ID/passport and a brief nautical resume (boats taken, areas navigated, time spent sailing). What is important is real experience with boats of similar length — the qualification is the legal condition, but experience is what we value when releasing the bareboat.
How much does the bareboat cost compared to renting with a skipper?
The bareboat is exactly the price of the boat — without skipper or meals from the skipper. The most affordable sailboat (Tasmanian Devil) costs €2,400/week in bareboat; the same boat with skipper leaves €3,900/week. For titled groups, bareboat is clearly the most efficient option. What boats can I rent bareboat at ECC Yacht?
The 15 sailboats: Akilina, Tasmanian Devil, Cotufa, Tizón, Joulukka, Katalina, Little Mia, Majadero, Le Grand, Tefiti, Tomeu, Totufo, Turrun Turrun and two others up. (Pending adding details of the remaining 2 sailboats to complete the catalogue.)
1 catamaran: Ky Dong (Lagoon 43, 2025). The other catamaran, Machango (Lagoon 46), is not rented bareboat — it always has a separate mandatory professional skipper.
How much is the bareboat deposit? How is it managed?
The deposit varies between €2,500 and €3,000 depending on the boat. It is delivered at check-in and returned in full at the close of the charter if the inventory is complete and the boat is undamaged. If any damage arises during the week, the cost is deducted from the deposit.
What happens if I have technical problems during the bareboat?
Have 24/7 technical support from our team in La Lonja throughout the week. If the engine does not start, if you have an electrical fault or if you need mechanical assistance, call and we will solve it as quickly as possible — even bringing a technician to your location if necessary.
Can I leave the boat in another port (one-way)?
The standard bareboat is always Saturday to Saturday at La Lonja Marina. For one-way crossings (for example from Mallorca to the Canary Islands), we have a specific program — check One Ways by ECC Yacht.
Can I rent bareboat for less than a week?
The standard is weekly (Saturday to Saturday). In low season (May and October) we can open specific exceptions — for shorter departures see rental for one day, although most short modalities come with a mandatory pattern.
