Boat rental without license in Tenerife with professional skipper

The second —and the one that is really worth it— is hire any boat with a professional skipper on board. In that case, no qualifications are required, because the person responsible for navigation is the skipper. The 14 ships in our fleet support this modality.

No, and we prefer to say it clearly. Our fleet consists of 12 sailboats and 2 cruising catamarans from 38 to 55 feet. They all far exceed the legal limit of 5 meters and 15 HP, so they all require a qualification if you drive them.

What we do have is the alternative that solves the problem: professional skipper in any of them, from €1,500/week. You go out on a real boat, without papers and without responsibility.

Yes, the skipper spends the night on board during the charter. Most of our boats have their own cabin - usually the bow one - or a crew bunk, so it does not reduce the number of places available for your group.

With the skipper on board and under his supervision, yes: it is common for clients to take the helm while sailing when conditions allow it, and many skippers are happy to teach you how to trim the sails or take a course.

It is a very common situation and has an intermediate solution. For bareboat we require a qualification and demonstrable experience on boats of similar length, because in the Canary Islands there are acceleration channels that require judgment.
