He boat rental with skipper in Mallorca It is the ideal option for those who want to experience a week of charter without having a nautical qualification, without wanting to assume the legal responsibility of navigation, or simply for those who prefer to relax and let a professional take care of the technical details. Any of the 15 boats from the ECC Yacht fleet in Mallorca It can be hired with an employer.

The pattern is a professional certified navigator of our team: yacht captain or equivalent, with civil liability insurance. He knows the boat in detail, has proven experience in the Balearic Islands and knows exactly where to anchor depending on the wind of the day. Its job is to make sure you don't have to think about navigation.

The pattern price is €1,500/week on a sailboat and €1,800/week on either of the two catamarans (on the Lagoon 46 Machango the skipper is mandatory separately, not included in the price of the boat). The skipper's meals on board are managed as a shared group expense. If you have your nautical qualification and prefer to take it yourself, look bareboat rental (without skipper).

Charter with skipper — in 4 steps

You choose boat and dates

Sailboat or catamaran. Brands you need pattern. Reserve with 50% of the total price (boat + skipper).

We assign pattern

We confirm the skipper based on your date and boat. It is usually a regular member of our team — people with many seasons in the Balearic Islands.

You board Saturday 16:00

The boss welcomes you at La Lonja. He shows you the boat, proposes an indicative route according to the weather and sets sail when you are ready.

A week sailing

You decide the points of the day and the pattern maneuvers. Return to Palma the following Saturday at 09:00.

What we are asked most about renting with a skipper

How much does the professional skipper cost in Mallorca?

The pattern costs €1,500/week on any of our 15 sailboats and €1,800/week on the Ky Dong catamaran (Lagoon 43). On the Machango catamaran (Lagoon 46) the skipper is mandatory and is separate (€1,800/week, not included in the price of the boat).

Additional: skipper's meals on board, which are managed as a shared expense (typically €25–35/day per person in supermarket).

Do I need to have nautical experience if I go with a skipper?

No. The skipper is in charge of 100% of the navigation: maneuvers, anchoring, meteorology, boat systems. You go as a passenger — no qualifications, nautical resume, or previous experience are required.

Who are the skippers of ECC Yacht?

Professional qualified skippers (Yacht Captain, Professional Skipper or equivalent) with civil liability insurance. Most are sailors with many seasons in the Balearic Islands — some have been with us for more than a decade. Everyone speaks Spanish and English.

Can I choose a specific pattern?

If you have sailed with us before, please say so when booking and we will do our best to match you again (subject to availability). For new clients, we assign the skipper that best fits the date and type of boat.

Does the skipper sleep on board? What about privacy?

Yes, on weekly charters the skipper sleeps on board. Some ships have pattern room in the bow (Cotufa, Tizón); In others, the boss occupies one of the cabins. The privacy of the group is always respected — the skipper moves discreetly.

Can I participate in sailing if I wish?

Of course. Many skippered clients enjoy participating: steering the helm in open water, helping with ropes, raising and lowering sails. The pattern is flexible.

For what type of outputs does the pattern make the most sense?

Especially recommended for: goodbyes, company events, boat dinners, sunsets, families with children, anniversary trips.

How does the boat tank work?

When you sail with a skipper, the deposit is always retained by the professional skipper, so the client's risk is minimal. So that everything is transparent, at check-in we record videos and photos of the state of the boat — including the hull underwater with an underwater camera. Those files are shared with you the same day.

We also ask that you calmly inspect the boat upon arrival and record your own videos and photos of any existing damage. Honest communication and visual documentation from the first minute saves us from misunderstandings when returning and speeds up the release of the deposit.
