A fishing trip around Mallorca With ECC, it's not your standard tourist fishing trip of "get on the boat, they give you a rod, see what you catch." It's a trip with a skipper who knows the fishing grounds, knows the depth at which to fish for each species, and suggests the best approach based on the date, the weather, and what you want to catch. The difference between returning with a dorado in the cooler or spending the day without catching anything is almost always down to the skipper—not the boat, not the equipment, not the destination.

We operate departures in any of the sailboats o catamarans From the fleet — we coordinate fishing equipment separately. For coastal trolling (the most sociable method, also the best to combine with swimming in a cove), a half-day sailboat works perfectly. For vertical jigging in rocky areas or bluefin tuna on a southbound crossing (Cabrera, Mallorca-Ibiza channel), a full day and a specialist skipper are recommended.

We can arrange your Balearic recreational fishing licenses for you (~€30/person, valid for 1 year). If you'd like to extend your experience to several days based in Cabrera or Cala Pi, we can discuss that option. weekly. And if fishing is only part of the day and you also want to swim and have a snack in the cove, we'll combine it with a... sailboat ride normal.

Types of fishing

What type of fishing can you do in Mallorca?

🎣

Coastal trolling

The social style: you drag lures at 4-7 knots along the coastline. Species: mahi-mahi (dorado), bonito, small amberjack. Compatible with swimming in the intermediate cove. Ideal for mixed groups where not everyone is an angler.

⬇️

Vertical jigging

Technical fishing at 50-200 m over rocky bottoms. Species: large amberjack, dentex, grouper, conger eel. Requires a certain level of physical fitness (intense technique) and prior experience. Best done on a boat with a good depth sounder and a skipper who knows the fishing grounds.

🐟

Bluefin tuna on a crossing

Heading south (Mallorca-Cabrera-Ibiza channel), searching for schools of tuna. Large species, sport fishing only (quotas are highly regulated in the Balearic Islands — catch and release is mandatory except for special quotas). Full day or night/early morning trip.

🌅

Early morning departure

For many species, the early morning hours (6:00-8:00 AM) are the most productive. Leave the port before dawn, fish in the fishing grounds as the sun rises, and return around noon. Combine fishing with a spectacular sunrise.
