A Catamaran excursion in Mallorca It's the ideal outing for groups who value space, stability, and comfort over the purity of sailing. With no heeling, a spacious deck, an air-conditioned saloon, cabins with en-suite bathrooms, and aft swim platforms—a Lagoon catamaran is practically a floating villa with a motor.

At ECC Yacht we operate both catamarans from The Fish Market, in the heart of Palma. The outings always go with patrón profesional incluido — the customer enjoys being a passenger. We have available the Ky Dong (Lagoon 43, year 2025) for 9-12 people and the Machango (Lagoon 46, year 2021) for 8-12 people. Both are part of our own fleet and are kept at La Lonja throughout the Mallorca season (May–October).

The most popular format is the day trip (8 hours) with stops at one or two coves for swimming and lunch. We also organize shorter trips for sunsets, dinners on board, farewells & corporate events. If you're looking for the whole week, look catamaran rental in Mallorca.

Why a catamaran?

What differentiates a catamaran from a sailing trip

If you're undecided between a catamaran and a sailboat for a day trip, here are the reasons why most groups choose a catamaran when they can afford it.

⚖️

It doesn't list, it doesn't make you dizzy

For people who get seasick, children, or anyone who simply prefers not to bend over, a catamaran is in a league of its own. Plates don't slip, glasses don't fall—everything floats flat on the water.

📐

The double cover

Two parallel hulls = double the living space. Giant interior saloon, bow terrace, covered aft cockpit, and swim platforms on each hull. Room for everyone without feeling cramped.

🏝️

It reaches coves that a sailboat cannot.

With a draft of 1.3 m compared to the 2 m of a sailboat, it is best suited for Palma Bay, navigating coves like Portals Vells, Ses Illetes, or El Toro. On weekly charters, it provides access to the south of Formentera and shallow areas where a monohull would be too far from shore.

🛁

Comfortable en-suite bathrooms

Four cabins, each with its own en-suite bathroom. For a day trip with family or a group, being able to change and use the bathroom is a detail that makes all the difference.

🎉

Ideal for celebrations

The catamaran shines at events: the spacious deck functions as a floating restaurant for a dinner on a boat, a boat party or a birthday on the sea.

👨‍✈️

Professional pattern always

You don't need a boating license or experience. The skipper takes care of navigation, maneuvers, and anchoring—you just enjoy the experience. On the Machango, a skipper is mandatory and separate (€1,800/week, not included in the boat price).
